Established in 2011, the organization has completed several hundred residential structures and is known for its full-service approach centered on a tight-knit team of administrative, real estate, architectural, design, and construction professionals. About The Position We are looking for a dedicated Lead Interior Designer who will engage with clients and the rest of our design/build team to develop comprehensive design plans for residential construction. This means approaching each design with an eye for detail and innovation while also keeping in mind a practical approach that incorporates build objectives, budgetary constraints, and specific conceptual requirements. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a self-directed manner while also collaborating as part of a team, must be open to critical feedback, look for opportunities to innovate, as well as have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Create cohesive and comprehensive design plans for interior and exterior finishes based on project requirements and client needs. Assess client and project stakeholder needs and requirements to inform the scope of the design for each project. Prepare documentation for client presentations Acquire material and labor quotes for design-related elements Participate in onsite meetings and problem-solving pertaining to design-related concerns Research design trends and materials Requirements: 3-5 years of experience working on residential interior design for construction projects with direct client involvement and interaction A friendly approachable personality, with a positive attitude, open mindset, and willingness to be adaptable The ability to be a take initiative and work independently as well as be a collaborative team player Proficiency in AutoCad. Familiarity with Sketchup also preferred. A bachelor’s degree in interior design. NCIDQ certification preferred. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work with shifting priorities and deadlines Highly effective written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving skills.
