Research Associate – In Vivo Studies

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research Associate to join a growing preclinical research team. This position involves hands-on work with a variety of laboratory animals (mice, rats, rabbits, canines, non-human primates, etc.) and plays a key role in supporting GLP-compliant toxicology and pharmacology studies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a regulated environment and enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative workplace.

What you'll do

• Perform in vivo technical procedures per study protocols and SOPs, including clinical observations, dosing (all routes), sample collection, catheter placement, anesthesia, euthanasia, and post-mortem sample collection
• Operate lab equipment such as glucometers, digital thermometers, and infusion pumps
• Accurately document raw data and maintain study records
• Prepare and clean up for procedures and support daily technical activities
• Monitor animal health and report changes in condition or environment
• Contribute to SOP development and refinement for technical and facility-related procedures
• Perform routine husbandry tasks as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in available cross-training opportunities

What you'll need

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field preferred
• Experience working with animals in a research or regulated environment preferred
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and adaptable to new software platforms
• Able to read and interpret technical documents and protocols in English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting
