Job Description

Under limited supervision, performs genetic counseling for cancer risk assessment, clinical genetics, and/or prenatal diagnosis. Determines the appropriate genetic tests for at-risk individuals/families. Acts as a liaison between the patient/family, the testing laboratory, and the referring physician; conveys the results of genetic testing to the patient/family and the referring physician.Education:
Graduation from an American Board of Genetic Counseling-certified genetic counselor training program, with a Masters' degree in genetic counseling.
Licensure:
Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or eligibility for such certification.
Experience:
Two years of relevant experience preferred.
Skills:
•Knowledge of genetic counseling theories, therapies and techniques of casework process
•Skill in needs analysis
•Skill in grant writing and management
•Detail oriented with excellent telephone, analytical, organization and time management skills
•Collaboration with clinical staff regarding challenging patient needs
•Skill in data analysis and interpretation
•Strong interpersonal skills
Pay Range
$56,785.43 - $90,856.69
Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
