Job Description

Safely and efficiently performs a variety of duties within PBV’s warehouse operations to support both internal and external customers and meet business goals and demands. Duties will include pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, performing quality control checks, dumping, rework, replenishing, and otherwise handling of PBV products, raw materials, packaging, and other warehouse goods and materials. The exact nature of the duties may vary, depending on the facility where the Warehouse Associate is employed. MUST HAVE YARD SWITCHER EXPERIENCE. Second Shift - 11p-6a. Pay Rate - $18.50 per hr. plus $1.85 shift differential ($20.35 Total per hr.). Responsibilities include efficiently and safely moving trailers in the yard with good backing skills, performing daily switcher checks for maintenance issues, checking trailers and docks for safety concerns, communicating across all departments using a 2-way radio, ensuring the yard and lots are neat and organized, safe and efficient operation of various warehouse material handling and material moving equipment, performing all required safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery, janitorial tasks as necessary, and other duties as assigned. Minimum requirements include high school diploma or GED preferred, ability to pass forklift skills assessment, at least six months forklift experience preferred, computer/human machine interface skills, mechanical aptitude, good math, reading, writing, and communication skills, sorting and grouping skills, ability to read and understand product labels and load ticket instructions, ability to count large quantities of products and materials, ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions. Mental functions require repetitive and fast paced work for prolonged periods requiring frequent mental or visual effort or alertness. Physical functions require lifting up to 50 pounds constantly and occasional sitting, reading, climbing, reaching, kneeling, bending, pushing, crawling, pulling cases of product, walking, and standing. Equipment used includes yard switcher, tractors & trailers, dock plates, bay doors, floor scrubber, walkie-rider, forklift (single and double), palletizer, wrapper, HSPA Claw, cardboard baler, automated conveyors, paper and pen, dump bins, telephone, radios, screens, lights, and buzzers.
