Job Title: Unity Illustrator

Location: Fully Remote

Mobile/Tablet animation experience

Experience working with programs for Children is Required .

Must submit with Link to past experience with Children's games (recent past)

Key responsibilities of a Unity Illustrator might include:
  • Concept art creation:
Designing and sketching initial ideas for characters, environments, and UI elements to establish the visual style of the game.
  • Asset creation:
Modeling, texturing, and rigging 3D characters and environments in Unity, or drawing high-quality 2D sprites for 2D games.
  • Animation:
Creating character animations, environmental effects, and UI animations using Unity's animation tools.
  • Texture painting:
Creating detailed textures for 3D models to enhance visual quality.
  • Optimization:
Optimizing 3D models and textures to maintain performance within the game engine.
  • Collaboration:
Working closely with game designers, programmers, and other artists to ensure visual consistency and alignment with gameplay mechanics.
  • UI design:
Creating visually appealing and user-friendly interface elements within Unity.
  • Prototyping:
Creating visual prototypes to test design ideas and iterate based on feedback.

Qualifications

Required skills for a Unity Illustrator:
  • Strong artistic skills: Excellent understanding of anatomy, perspective, lighting, color theory, and composition.
  • Proficiency in Unity: Expertise in using Unity's modeling, animation, texturing, and rendering tools.
  • 3D modeling software knowledge: Familiarity with 3D modeling software like Maya, Blender, or ZBrush (depending on the project).
  • 2D art skills (if applicable): Ability to create high-quality 2D sprites and pixel art.
  • Technical understanding: Awareness of performance optimization techniques for game graphics.
  • Communication skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members and clearly communicate design ideas.
