Overview:

JLL Income Property Trust, Inc. (“JLLIPT”), an externally advised, perpetual-life REIT owning a diversified portfolio of properties across the U.S., seeks a Senior Tax Manager in Chicago. The role involves tax advisory and compliance for JLLIPT and its investors, including managing relationships with internal teams and external advisors.

Roles/Accountabilities:

1. Manage traditional tax activities such as E&P calculations, tax provisions, and compliance.
2. Engage with investors and advisors regarding tax basis and reporting.
3. Collaborate internally and externally to improve tax reporting and compliance through technology.
4. Oversee third-party tax advisory relationships for quality assurance.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

1. At least seven years’ experience in industry or public accounting, with a preference for real estate, REIT, and partnership tax expertise.
2. Knowledge of IRC Sections 1031 and 721 is required.
3. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
5. Creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
6. Self-starter with strong quantitative skills.

Compensation: $175,000 – $220,000 annually. This range is an estimate and not guaranteed.
