Job Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer to join our MEP Department in one of our Montana offices. The ideal candidate will be licensed as a Professional Engineer with 8-15 years of experience in building design, be proficient in ACAD and REVIT software as well as electrical power & lighting analysis, design, estimating, and report writing. This position involves working closely with 2-3 licensed Professional Engineers and Engineering Interns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical engineering design projects and effectively communicate with team and clients throughout all project phases.
• Resolve conflicts tactfully in a timely manner.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit/BIM for modeling of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and outside firms, drafters, and multi-discipline staff on various projects.
• Conduct site investigations and meet with clients, architects, and contractors.
• Manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering w/electrical and lighting focus.
• PE license with 5+ years of experience in MEP consulting engineering firm conducting the design of building electrical systems. LEED accreditation Preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM software required.
• Must have in-depth knowledge on application of:
• NFPA70E – National Electrical Code
• NFPA 72 – National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
• International Energy Conservation Code
• International Building Code
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able/willingness to visit construction sites and spend 5-10% of the week outside the office. As well as travel unassisted out-of-town and overnight to project sites.
