Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Public Relations & Communications Coordinator to manage and elevate the firm’s public image, online presence, and brand visibility. This individual will play a critical role in shaping how our attorneys and firm are seen—both in the legal field and broader community.

This is more than just a press release and media-facing position. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of firm-wide communications and visibility efforts, including digital media, strategic content, and reputation management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Media & PR Strategy:
  • Identify opportunities to feature attorneys in legal, professional, and community publications
  • Pitch story ideas and manage media relationships
  • Draft and distribute press releases as needed
  • Coordinate occasional press conferences or media events

  • Social & Digital Media Oversight:
  • Oversee day-to-day management of all social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, etc.)
  • Develop monthly content calendars in collaboration with partners and staff
  • Track and report social media engagement and performance metrics

  • Thought Leadership & Visibility:
  • Coordinate firm participation in blogs, webinars, speaking engagements, and podcasts
  • Assist attorneys with submission to professional awards, panels, and recognitions
  • Manage and update firm and attorney profiles on legal association websites, directories, and online listings

  • Brand Reputation Management:
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all platforms
  • Monitor online reviews and public mentions of the firm
  • Assist with internal communications and occasional firm announcements

  • Project Management & Collaboration:
  • Liaise with marketing vendors, web designers, and community partners
  • Work directly with firm leadership on initiatives to raise firm visibility
  • Organize PR-related files, photo/video assets, and promotional materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in PR, marketing, or communications—legal or professional services preferred
  • Strong writing and editorial skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects at once
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Later) and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus
