Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. With a track record of global leadership in bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS prevention, immunotherapy and COVID-19 vaccines, Fred Hutch has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading cancer, infectious disease and biomedical research centers. Fred Hutch operates eight clinical care sites that provide medical oncology, infusion, radiation, proton therapy and related services, and network affiliations with hospitals in five states. Together, our fully integrated research and clinical care teams seek to discover new cures to the world's deadliest diseases and make life beyond cancer a reality. At Fred Hutch we value collaboration, compassion, determination, excellence, innovation, integrity and respect. The Li Lab at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking highly motivated and collaborative postdoctoral fellows to join our dynamic team. We are dedicated to advancing cancer research and developing new treatments. Our research integrates functional and clinical genomics to uncover molecular mechanisms driving cancer treatment resistance and accelerate the development of novel therapies. We've already established cutting-edge platforms and collected exciting data ready to be explored. Successful candidates will have the chance to lead and be first authors on projects aimed at identifying novel therapeutic targets and developing new combination treatment strategies. Responsibilities Design and execute independent research projects under the mentorship of Dr. Li. Apply for independent funding (intramural and extramural). Participate in grant writing, manuscript preparation, lab meetings, and journal clubs. Mentor junior lab members, including technicians and students. Contribute to and lead publications in high-impact journals. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD (or equivalent) in cancer biology, molecular biology, tumor immunology, or a related field. Accordingly, in your application please include a cover letter that describes your interest and motivation related to the research area in our lab along with your CV and contact information for at least two references. A statement describing your commitment and contributions toward greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism in your career or that will be made through your work at Fred Hutch is requested of all finalists. The annual base salary range for this position is from $77,976 to $150,000 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
