Job Description

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Mechanical, Test & Validation Engineering 2 to join their team. As a Mechanical, Test & Validation Engineering 2, you will be part of the engineering department supporting vehicle development and testing teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical, Test & Validation Engineering 2

Location: Long Beach, CA

Pay Range: $49.68 Hourly

What's the Job?

• Develop, program, and maintain software tool solutions for effective vehicle testing and development analysis.
• Create and manage individual R&D testing data analysis reports for powertrain development teams.
• Evaluate faults and lead problem-solving activities, collaborating with technical experts.
• Support internal Key Process Indicators to monitor current status and forecast future needs.
• Actively participate in continuous process improvements for internal and external processes.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in engineering R&D and software development, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in multiple coding languages including Python, JavaScript, SQL, and MATLAB.
• Strong understanding of automotive technology and vehicle functions.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage workflows effectively.
