Downtown Pittsburgh law firm is in need of an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant.

Responsibilities:

• Providing legal secretary and administrative support to two attorneys
• Drafting documents and correspondence, red-lining, etc.
• Entering attorneys' time, on occasion
• Tracking data in Excel spreadsheets
• Transcribing dictation; Preparing trial notebooks
• Provide coverage in the absence of other legal staff
• Answering the phone and routing calls
• Scheduling and calendaring (including entry of tasks in Outlook)
• Making travel arrangements for attorneys
• Opening, maintaining, and closing files as appropriate
• Receiving and routing incoming mail and emails
• Electronic filing
• Assist with exhibit preparation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years litigation experience in a billable hour-based law firm (federal and state court);
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient MSOffice skills; experience with document management and time entry software
• Ability to learn new software as needed
• Team player willing to work effectively with employees at all levels
