Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement efficient field construction strategies based on bid documents.
  • Review contracts, drawings, and pre-construction documents to identify potential challenges.
  • Ensure smooth project progression by coordinating with estimators, purchasing, and field teams.

Material & Resource Management

  • Create material lists when not specified to facilitate project installation.
  • Oversee equipment and material orders, ensuring timely scheduling and deliveries.

Budgeting, Billing & Documentation

  • Prepare and manage jobsite status reports for monthly progress billing.
  • Handle the submittal process, change orders, and milestone management.
  • Review project budgets and schedules, setting daily and weekly goals for foremen.
  • Determine pricing for change orders and T&M work, securing customer approvals.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Assess codes, variances, and specifications to determine project impact.
  • Ensure job site safety, quality control, and adherence to project timelines.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with field leaders to maintain quality standards and schedule compliance.
  • Oversee daily job site and labor management to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of material ordering, subcontracting, RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proven leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Experience with AIA documentation is a plus.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
