Full-Time Housekeeper Needed Near Chevy Chase, Washington, DC


A wonderful family in Washington, DC, is seeking a kind, dependable, and experienced full-time housekeeper to join their home. After 25 years of dedicated service, their beloved housekeeper is retiring, and they are looking for someone to seamlessly take over and work alongside her during the transition.


About the Family:

• A 2-person household: a retired wife and a husband who works.
• Grandma, aged 90, visits for six months at a time.
• The atmosphere is warm, respectful, and relaxed.

Responsibilities:

• General housekeeping duties (no deep cleaning; professional cleaners handle that).
• Cooking South Asian meals for lunch and dinner (recipes can be provided).
• Managing laundry and ironing.
• Running household errands (e.g., grocery shopping).

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, with flexible start times (around 9:30/10 AM).
• Cook lunch by 12/1 PM and dinner in the evening; the day ends after dinner, but flexibility is appreciated.

Compensation:

• Competitive pay: $40-$50/hour.
• A friendly, supportive work environment where your skills are valued.

Requirements:

• Proven housekeeping experience.
• Comfort and ability to cook South Asian cuisine (willingness to learn recipes provided by the family).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
