Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Aviation Project Manager to support ongoing and upcoming aviation infrastructure projects across general and regional aviation facilities in Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation or civil engineering, client coordination, and project delivery in accordance with FAA and GDOT guidelines. This position involves full project lifecycle responsibilities—from scoping and design through execution and closeout—ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for aviation clients, overseeing project planning, scheduling, scoping, and funding coordination.
  • Lead project teams in the delivery of aviation infrastructure projects, managing schedules, budgets, and quality control.
  • Coordinate with funding agencies such as the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and other stakeholders.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analyses per FAA and GDOT standards.
  • Prepare design documents, exhibits, and report appendices using MicroStation and OpenRoads design software. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is also beneficial.
  • Maintain quality assurance protocols and ensure project documents meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with subcontractor coordination, funding applications, and technical documentation development.
  • Conduct occasional site visits for construction oversight and progress tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field (preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia (required)
  • 6 to 10 years of professional experience in aviation or civil engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with FAA/GDOT aviation-related projects
  • Strong proficiency with MicroStation (preferred) and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
